there is honor in this world,
that is why I love Art, Music, bikes, so much
Looking for our place,
feeble little us,  fragile, short lived,
Truth?
how important, how much do you want your offspring to not lie
to have honor?
It'd burden them, might take them early, buried young.

Ekimov, he looks down over me,
hanging framed, up there.
the Magnificent,...cheat.

I'm not one of those "shut up legs" guys,
he's afouled, too.
despite, riding like a Samsonite ape carrying luggage, the bike all sloppy.
its hard for me, to understand the men that doped.
I love them.
really deeply love them.

Rockwell Kent's Maine island, the sound that must of come in the open windows of that house,   That's Horace Pippin, underneath, another magnificent man, ... flawed, truth, art, never know, always have my doubts, but always, I know that I can suffer, and go the hard way, so maybe....

What place in the world does art hold for me.
Today, I road, Belmont, covered in ice and snow, a bit chilly.
Rolled it.
Some virgin snow, and that my tracks tomorrow would be frozen ruts.
It was just a short ride, one that I will forget soon.  One of the better ones, for sure!

headed back out of "walts bald head" following my own tire tracks

I don't want to know my heroes.  I'm afraid of what I'll learn.

Justin Townes Earl - "Farther From Me"

I got a ticket to see Justin,  Tuesday night, up front real close to the stage.

                                                                  a short bit of good,

art, photography, music, philosophy, biking, that should about take of it this afternoon.

Have a swell weekend!
Cheers, dlowe.

I do love his song White Gardenias, the most.

Buoyed

I ran into Anne Rock, a brief chat, as we passed with happy salutations.  we came across each other, out riding, in Belmont.  On snow mountain bike rides. It was pretty cold, usually to cold for me to be out riding.  Like 23 degrees.

Ms. Anne Rock, they did have smiles when I saw 'em.

and I saw a bunch of other pictures,  really pretty much it seems like people just get out and ride, despite the cold, or snow.  They just make it normal, fun, with a smile, all bundled and smartly dressed.  Keeping the toes, nose and soul warm!

                                                                  "beautiful decay"
Stephan Kincaid's steed, getting the miles.

                                            Thee Lone Wolfs-
the Wolf's they seem to live it
and do love it, a lot.

Jules Benson, "Boxer trail and Belmont snowy but navigable. Still plenty of chunks of ice lurking"

                                            All Weather Andy's always out,
                                  di Michele's steed

It lifts my soul, makes my tolerance, the dressing, dread, of the cold, it lowers my freezing point.
Normal, in a way, to get out, ride, shiver, numb at times, ...  warmed by all the really great, bike riding spirits in this area,  big fat Hot burning spirits,  the mortal cyclist of the Delaware Valley!

Cheers, see you on the trails, roads, with, maybe a flask, but, maybe all I need is a simple hello, and a smile.

dlowe.

been working out mostly at the gym. the drive home, from a real nice family visit, the sky, it was so cold, it was a different color of blue.  The wind was strong and cold blown down from the artic, and the dirt, dust the land it carried with it, made the sky look different it was a different blue.

With out cross its a bit harder to write,  with out that parallel to make with life.  Its not a music blog, or photo blog, yeah its a dlowe blog, but really its about cross.
this year is my last year in my age group.
I want to do better than last year,
I will.

Cheers, dlowe
